You’ll notice a 2009 National Novel Writing Month winner badge in this post. No, I did not earn that. Not this year. But my mom became a winner on November 16! I stalled out around 15,000 words. Whoops.

Way to go, Jess's Mom!
I had a LOT of missteps, mainly my husband in and out of the hospital (IN for 15/30 days in November, plus the beginning of December) so I ended up getting 17,255. See you in the winner's circle next year?
Let's hope so!
You had some real issues this year. I just had a lot of school and work and exams. I hope your husband's doing better now.
He's not as good as I want him to be, but hopefully the new doctor we're seeing Tuesday will have some miracle cure for his back. This medication he's on is the worst. It's super strong so it works on his pain, but I hate the side effects -- lots of sleeping, light-headed/losing balance, and when he wakes up he has no idea what day it is. I'm praying that the new doctor at least takes him off this and gives him something else to try, but we'll see...
